The Story of Two Creators

It all started with two friends: Yuqi, a graphic designer and designer, and Xiaoyuan, a product manager in the craft sector. We, of course, have commonalities that bring us together: coming from the same region, we moved to France at the same time and our babies were born in the same year. But also differences that make us complementary: Yuqi is passionate, curious and detail-oriented, while Xiaoyuan is more reserved, observant and big-picture oriented.

Jewelry is one of our shared passions and, when we decided to strike out on our own, creating a brand that reflected us seemed like an obvious way to share these emotions with others. That is where the dream began. The rest of the story is what you see every day.

The Brand Name

Maylie & Lou, two names but one person! The first given by her mother, Xiaoyuan, the second by her godmother Yuqi. Maylie evokes the image of a stylish woman who is one of a kind; Lou, that of a confident muse, bursting with energy and vitality. Maylie & Lou is now a jewelry brand where beautiful things come together and beautiful memories are made.

Our Style

These are jewelry pieces to accompany you every day: elegant at work, bohemian on vacation, relaxed at home or rock at a party. It is also like child's play: imagine, mix and create the jewelry combinations that reflect you. Creating jewelry is our commitment; we observe, listen, touch and try again and again. The smallest detail must be flawless, and then we present them to you.

Manufacturing

Our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver, stainless steel, or brass with a fine gold finish, which allows us to offer you beautiful jewelry starting at €10. All our engraving and personalization, as well as part of our creations, are done by hand in our workshop in Saint-Étienne. Our 925 silver has been tested by the SGS laboratory: its nickel release complies with European regulations (REACH).

Packaging

Receiving jewelry is always a pleasure, which is why our jewelry is carefully wrapped on a rigid card, then in a pouch and a Maylie&Lou box, to ensure that it does not get tangled or damaged during transport.
